Through the Years
1984
On January 1, 1984, Don Fletchall (as pictured), from Illingworth Engineering, partnered with Hugh Wilson to incorporate Thermal Tech, Inc. with the corporate office located in Tampa, Florida and an office in Winter Park managed by Hugh Wilson.
1986
Deron Keiter, a graduate of Williamson Trade School, was recruited by Hugh Wilson (foreground of the picture) as a Service Technician and relocated to central Florida.
1990’s
There were normal up-and-down economic business cycles in the 90’s but Thermal Tech maintained a steady growth curve. We are proud that as a company we have never had to lay anyone off due to business decline. The company grew from a couple of two-man offices to approximately 15 employees!
1997
In 1997, after leading Thermal Tech, Inc., Don Fletchall retired and corporate headquarters transferred to Hugh Wilson (left)in the Orlando office. At this time Deron Keiter (right) and Rick (middle) were given the opportunity to become partners in the corporation and joined the management team.
2002
In 2002, Hugh Wilson began planning the company’s succession and formed an ESOP to reward the employees with an ownership stake. The resulting ownership is with the Thermal Tech, Inc. ESOP Trust, Deron Keiter, and Rick Wilkins.
2006
Thermal Tech moved to our present facility in the fall of 2006. Originally, we rented out one of the back two bays but as we grew to occupy the entire building.
2022
Thermal Tech Inc. acquired Illingworth Engineering Company from the grandson of O.H. Fletchall.
The expansion stretched its Southeast territory into North Florida (Jacksonville) and South Georgia (Thomasville), totaling 4 offices for Thermal Tech Inc.
2024
Thermal Tech Inc. proudly celebrated 40 years of business with a special weekend event. We honored this milestone by treating our incredible staff and their families to a weekend filled with delicious food, exciting activities, and unforgettable rodeo entertainment. Thermal Tech Inc. has been really good to us over the years. They helped us with an upgrade conversion from fuel oil to natural gas on our Cleaver-Brooks steam boiler. This was a huge saving in our overall expense for fuel and dependability. They have the best service tech’s and are very knowledgeable. The fact that they are 24/7 has pulled us out of plenty of jams. Overall, the customer service is hands down! They are our boiler people.
